Sean Patrick Taylor is the Founder of the Alabama Family Law Firm, PC.
Family law inspired his legal career, hoping to do work of consequence for individuals looking to secure a better future for themselves and their children.
After his admission to the Alabama State Bar, Sean began his legal career at The Law Offices of Charlotte Christian & Associates, one of Alabama’s top family law firms.
Previously, Sean was a summer associate at Saab Defense & Security, a national defense contractor. He later had the honor of working as a researcher for Prof. Ron Rychlak, advisor to the Vatican’s Mission to the United Nations & Distinguished Professor at the University of Mississippi. From that assignment, they co-authored “Satellite Data as Evidence,” which is set for publication in 2023.
While attending the University of Mississippi School of Law, he spent a year working in the Child Advocacy Clinic, providing legal aid to financially challenged families. Additionally, he served on the Honor Council and was a recipient of the Dean’s Scholarship & the Brunini Law Scholarship. During that time, he participated in the annual Negotiation & Contract Drafting Competition where he was named Best Lawyer & Top Negotiator, later joining the Negotiation & Alternative Dispute Resolution Board.
Sean also served as the senior, then managing editor of the Journal of Space Law, an international academic publication. During that time, he published a piece examining Stanly Kubrick’s “2001: A Space Odyssey” in the context of the 1960s space race.
Prior to his career in law, Sean managed a range of businesses in real estate, media and hospitality in New York & Memphis, TN. He also worked for such media outlets as the British Broadcasting Company and ESPN.
